LCG Consulting is a consulting firm that addresses the analytical needs of the new energy markets. We are engaged in software development and analytical support in the field of energy markets, pricing and risk management. To support our rapidly expanding client base, we have one immediate opening for the following position.
 

Enrgy Analyst (Los Altos, CA): Responsible for collecting and analyzing regional energy data (generation, transmission, loads and other technologies) utilizing various public and private sources and developing data models to simulate electric power systems to provide short- to long-term strategizing, planning and forecasting. Duties include developing operation process for strategic decision making using advanced quantitative methods; performing energy studies of power markets to project electricity prices as well as generator performance to help clients make better business decisions in resource allocation and financial transaction; assessing economic impact of green-house gas emission and operational impacts of wind integration on energy systems using simulation models; and providing consulting support and training to end users.

Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering or a related field and one year of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Power System Engineer, Transmission Engineer, or in a related occupation.
