LCG, March 6, 2026--Entergy yesterday announced approximately $5 billion in total savings for 2.3 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi resulting from data center customer agreements in those states. Entergy, which completed its first data center customer agreement in 2024, projects the customer savings over the next 20 years and after the regulatory approval or acknowledgement of the public service commissions in those states.

LCG, March 5, 2026--The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announced yesterday that it has authorized the staff to issue TerraPower’s subsidiary, US SFR Owner, a construction permit for the company’s Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1 commercial nuclear power plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

Teco Joins Panda in Two Huge Merchant Plants
LCG, Nov. 15, 2000--Teco Power Services and Panda Energy International today announced that they have formed a joint venture to build, own and operate two natural gas-fueled, combined-cycle merchant power plants, each of more than 2,200 megawatts capacity.The new facilities will represent an investment of $2.3 billion, the companies said. A 2,220 megawatt plant planned for El Dorado, Ark., is in an early construction phase. A 2,350 megawatt project at Gila Bend, Ariz., is in an advanced stage of development, with siting, permitting and other agreements in place.Panda was responsible for initial planning and development of the two projects. Bob Carter, chairman and chief executive of the independent power producer, said "These are highly attractive projects in excellent markets, and we're excited about this joint venture."Robert Fagan, chairman and chief executive of Tampa-based Teco Energy Inc., parent company of Teco Power Services, said "We are well on our way to transforming our company into one that is predominantly unregulated in a financially disciplined manner."The El Dorado project is being built to interconnect with an Entergy-Arkansas substation adjacent to the site. The first phase is expected to begin producing power by the summer of 2002 with full commercial operation a year later.The Gila Bend project will interconnect with Arizona Public Service Co.'s Palo Verde switchyard and begin commercial operation in the late summer of 2002.
