LCG, March 6, 2026--Entergy yesterday announced approximately $5 billion in total savings for 2.3 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi resulting from data center customer agreements in those states. Entergy, which completed its first data center customer agreement in 2024, projects the customer savings over the next 20 years and after the regulatory approval or acknowledgement of the public service commissions in those states.

LCG, March 5, 2026--The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announced yesterday that it has authorized the staff to issue TerraPower’s subsidiary, US SFR Owner, a construction permit for the company’s Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1 commercial nuclear power plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

French Okay Endesa Interest in Power Firm Snet
LCG, Nov. 21, 2000--Endesa, Spain's largest electric utility, said yesterday the French government has approved its plans to acquire a 30 percent interest in French power producer Socit Nationale d'Electricit et de Termique.Snet is the second largest French electricity company by installed capacity, owning 5 coal plants with 2,600 megawatts total capacity -- a drop in the bucket compared to Electricit de France, which itself owns 19 percent of Snet. The balance of Snet is owned by government-run Charbonnages de France, a coal mining and industrial firm.Yesterday, Endesa signed an agreement with Charbonnages to acquire a 30 percent stake in Snet, with an option to increase its ownership "in the medium term."Most of Snet's power output is sold to EdF, with a small amount being sold to business customers. Endesa said it expects to increase the proportion of industrial and commercial sales in the future.
