LCG, September 3, 2026--Fervo Energy earlier this week announced a 396-MW power purchase agreement (PPA) with Google to enable the continued development of the Cape Station enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) GeoCluster, located in southwest Utah. Under the agreement, Google will purchase carbon-free, 24/7 electricity designed to serve as a foundational building block for a potential data center in Utah. The facility is expected to come online in 2028.

He succeeds Alan Guggenheim, one of the IdaTech's three founders. Duss most recently was a vice president of Honeywell Europe.Leslie H. Legro has been named to the newly created position of vice president and chief accounting officer by PG&E National Energy Group Inc. He most recently vice president and controller with Edison Mission Energy.Michael O'Sullivan has been appointed senior vice president for development of independent power producer FPL Energy LLC, a subsidiary of FPL Group Inc. He joins FPL from AES Great Plains Inc., where he was a vice president.Glen W. Overton has joined Kansas City Power & Light Co. as director of governmental affairs and community relations. He has served since 1993 as the regional administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration's Heartland Region.Julio Reyes has been named Texas state president of American Electric Power Co. Inc., filling a vacancy created when Alphonso Jackson became Deputy Secretary of Housing andUrban Development in the Bush administration. Reyes previously was community service manager and coordinator in McAllen for the Rio Grande Valley at AEP's Central Power & Light Co. subsidiary.
