LCG, February 12, 2026--Hydrostor today announced that the Willow Rock Energy Storage Center has signed a 50 MW offtake agreement with California Community Power (CC Power) on behalf of six of its community choice aggregator members: CleanPowerSF, Peninsula Clean Energy, Redwood Coast Energy Authority, San Jose Clean Energy, Silicon Valley Clean Energy Authority and Valley Clean Energy Authority.

LCG, February 4, 2026--Natura Resources LLC (Natura), a developer of advanced molten-salt nuclear reactors, announced yesterday that it has signed an agreement with NGL Water Solutions Permian LLC, a subsidiary of NGL Energy Partners LP (NGL), to pursue opportunities to combine Natura's advanced nuclear reactor technology with thermal desalination for power production and oil and gas produced water treatment. NGL transports, treats, recycles and disposes of more than 3 million barrels per day of produced and flowback water generated from crude oil and natural gas production in the Permian Basin.

NRG Wants to Shut Down New England Generators
LCG, May 17, 2002-NRG Energy Inc. is looking into turning off some of its Connecticut generators because they are no longer profitable. NRG says that it has been running the Devon station generators at a loss and wants to shut them down, although it does not want to retire them completely. The company would like to come to an agreement with the New England Independent System Operator (ISO) where it can get more money to operate the generators. The generators in question, located near New Haven, are 17 MW diesel-fired unit 10 and 107 MW oil/gas-fired units 7 and 8. Discussions regarding the generators have been on-going for months, but a May 3 filing has set a 90-day negotiation period in which a resolution will hopefully be reached. Shutting down the plants this summer could stress an already limited energy supply, but the ISO and NRG are not at a stage of disagreement where the ISO is talking about blocking the shutdown.
