LCG, March 6, 2026--Entergy yesterday announced approximately $5 billion in total savings for 2.3 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi resulting from data center customer agreements in those states. Entergy, which completed its first data center customer agreement in 2024, projects the customer savings over the next 20 years and after the regulatory approval or acknowledgement of the public service commissions in those states.

LCG, March 5, 2026--The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announced yesterday that it has authorized the staff to issue TerraPower’s subsidiary, US SFR Owner, a construction permit for the company’s Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1 commercial nuclear power plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

Longview Power LLC Plans to Start Building West Virginia Coal Plant This Year
LCG, April 27, 2005--Longview Power LLC, a subsidiary of GenPower LLC, plans to commence construction of its proposed coal-fired power plant this year. The 600-MW Longview project will use a pulverized coal-fired boiler with a supercritical steam cycle. The site is located in Monongalia County, West Virginia near Allegheny Energy's Fort Martin power plant.The project was proposed in late 2002. Last week, Monongalia County Circuit Judge Russell Clawges Jr. ruled that all of the agencies involved in the payment in lieu of taxes agreement negotiated for the Longview project followed the law. An air-quality permit for the plant has been received from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, along with a conditional site permit from the state's Public Service Commission. Longview plans to file supplemental information for the site permit and an application for a site permit for transmission lines later this month with the West Virginia Public Service Commission.
