Pipeline Construction Completed for the Neptune LNG Project

LCG, October 17, 2008--SUEZ LNG NA LLC announced yesterday that it has completed the sub-sea pipeline construction for its offshore LNG project, Neptune, which is located approximately 22 miles northeast of Boston. The LNG project design incorporates an offshore delivery where liquefied natural gas (LNG) tankers moor. The specially designed ships then vaporize the LNG into natural gas that is then delivered via the new pipeline into the existing Spectra Energy HubLine sub-sea pipeline for delivery to customers in New England.

The Neptune LNG project can deliver on average 400 MMcf/day of natural gas and is scheduled to begin receiving LNG supplies in 2009. The initial phase of the project commenced in late July and included the installation of the 13-mile sub-sea pipeline.

The second phase is scheduled to start in early May 2009 and continue through September 2009. This phase will include the intertie with the HubLine and the installation of two off-loading buoys where the tankers moor.

The LNG project was announced in February 2005. In October 2005, SUEZ LNG NA LLC's subsidiary, Neptune LNG LLC, announced that it received notice from the United States Coast Guard stating that its Neptune Deepwater Port application for a license to construct an offshore LNG facility was complete.

SUEZ LNG NA's wholly owned subsidiary, Distrigas of Massachusetts LLC, owns and operates an existing LNG receiving terminal in Everett, Massachusetts, which began service in 1971.
