LCG Releases January–March 2026 PJM Congestion Outlook Featuring Fundamentals-Based 3-Month Forecast
LCG, December 2, 2025 — LCG today announced the release of its PJM Congestion Outlook for January–March 2026, delivering a fundamentals-based, three-month forecast designed to help traders and risk managers better navigate congestion risks in PJM’s FTR markets.
Congestion continues to play a central role in price formation and financial exposure across PJM. To provide deeper insight into upcoming market conditions, LCG has developed a comprehensive three-month nodal model simulating the PJM Day-Ahead Energy Market for the first quarter of 2026.
Built on a bottom-up, fundamentals-driven methodology using the UPLAN Network Power Model™, the study integrates key variables—including generation, load, outages, and transmission dynamics—to identify where and when constraints are most likely to occur.
“These insights allow market participants to anticipate congestion patterns, optimize bidding strategies, and strengthen risk-management decisions heading into the next auctions,” LCG said.
Market participants preparing for the upcoming auction cycle can request further information or discuss detailed results by contacting info@energyonline.com.
