Rhode Island Offshore Block Island Wind Project Clears Department of Interior

LCG, November 19, 2008-The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) of the Department of the Interior has granted a right-of-way for the undersea transmission line that will deliver the wind-generated electricity from Deepwater Wind's 30-MW Block Island offshore project to the Rhode Island mainland.

New York PSC Directs RG&E to Contract for Power from R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant

LCG, November 17, 2014-The New York Public Service (PSC) ordered Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E) to negotiate a power purchase agreement (PPA) for electricity generated from the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, which is owned by Constellation Nuclear Energy Group, a subsidiary of Chicago-based Exelon.
