LCG, October 14, 2025--Calpine Corporation today announced the close of a Texas Energy Fund (TxEF) loan agreement to support development of the Pin Oak Creek project, a 460-MW, natural gas-fired peaking facility adjacent to Calpine's Freestone Energy Center, a gas-fired combined-cycle facility located on approximately 506 acres near Fairfield, Texas.

He is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Cabot Corp., a leading specialty chemical manufacturer.James M. Funk has been appointed a senior vice president of Equitable Resources Inc.. He is also president of subsidiary Equitable Production, the largest natural gas producer in the Appalachian basin with facilities in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia.Robert G. McCoy has joined TXU Corp. as president of its TXU Energy Services unit. He most recently was president of the retail markets unit of GTE, where he was responsible for more than $10 billion in revenue and for serving over 15 million customers nationwide.George L.
