Invenergy Announces New Agreements with Meta for Renewable Energy to Support Data Center Operations

New York Power Authority to Develop New Nuclear Facility in Upstate New York

LCG, June 23, 2025--The Governor of New York today directed the New York Power Authority (NYPA) to develop and construct an advanced nuclear power plant in upstate New York to deliver zero-emission power that supports a reliable and affordable electric grid. NYPA will lead the effort to develop at least one new nuclear energy facility with a combined capacity of at least one gigawatt (GW) of electricity, either alone or in partnership with private entities. The directive builds on the Governor’s 2025 State of the State to develop nuclear energy plans in New York.

John Barpoulis has been named vice president and treasurer of the National Energy Group of PG&E Corp., a newly created position. He will also continue to manage the Company's $1.2 billion commercial paper program, which he established as part of the 1998 acquisition of the New England Electric System's generating assets.

Fred I. Denny has been named manager of support services by the North American Electric Reliability Council. Dr. Denny, who will join the NERC staff in mid December, will be responsible for helping market participants with the application of NERC Operating Standards, in particular, those affecting congestion management.

Robert J. Hurst, vice chairman of Goldman Sachs Group Inc., has been elected a director of Constellation Energy Group. The appointment is linked to Goldman Sachs taking a stake in Constellation following the holding company's spin-off of its Baltimore Has & Electric Co. subsidiary.

Graham M. Leitch has been appointed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to its Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards, the body that advises the commission on the safety aspects of nuclear facilities and the adequacy of safety standards. His 40-year career includes 25 years in which he was associated with nuclear power. Leitch was the 1991 recipient of the American Nuclear Society Meritorious Performance Award in Reactor Operations based on activities related to the successful start-up of the Limerick plant.

Donna K. Sollenberger has been elected a director of Madison Gas and Electric Co. She is president and chief executive of the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.

Tom Sullivan, manager of financial operations since 1997 at Carolina Power & Light Co., will become treasurer of parent holding company CP&L Energy Inc. upon the close of the company's acquisition of Florida Progress Co. later this year. Sullivan will succeed Mark Mulhern, who as previously announced will serve as vice president for strategic planning with the combined company.

Joseph W. Sutton, vice chairman of Enron Corp. has notified the company that he will be leaving effective next Wednesday. He joined Enron in 1992 and held a variety of leadership positions in Enron's international businesses before being promoted to vice chairman in 1999.
