LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

TransAlta Buys 55 Megawatt Peaker in New York
LCG, Jan. 25, 2001TransAlta Corp., a Calgary-based Canadian energy company, said this morning it has acquired a 55 megawatt natural gas-fueled power plant in Binghamton, N.Y., near the Pennsylvania border and south of the finger lakes.TransAlta said it will own and operate 100 per cent of the facility, the company's first power plantacquisition in the New York state market. The company said it made the purchase through the Merchant Energy Group of the Americas, which will be responsible for commercial management.Merchant Energy Group of the Americas was established in 1997 by Gener SA, a Chilean-based electric generator, and focuses on commercial management of power generation assets in the United States. TransAlta bought 50 percent of the group last June.As to the Binghamton purchase, Steve Snyder, TransAlta's chief executive noted "This is TransAlta's first power plant purchase in the dynamic eastern US power market. It's another step in our goal to grow our generation by 1,000 megawatts per year."Gary Hart, TransAlta's general manager for the Ontario area, said the company is "committed to using local services and maintaining jobs at the plant. The Binghamton peaking plant is an efficient, well-maintained facility with access to key energy markets."
