LCG, October 6, 2026--Google and Constellation Energy today announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration to bring 890 MW of new, reliable, carbon-free nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid to meet growing demand and increase grid reliability. The first uprate is expected to be delivered by 2028.

LCG, October 5, 2026--The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) today announced a conditional loan commitment of up to $4.2 billion to finance nuclear uprates and modernization across Vistra’s nuclear fleet in Pennsylvania and Ohio. The projects are expected to preserve nearly 4 GW of carbon-free, baseload power and add 433 MW of new nuclear capacity that will support the growing electricity demand across the PJM region.

DTE-MCN Merger Expects FTC Clearance
LCG, March 22, 2001DTE Energy Inc. said this morning that it, and its merger partner MCN Energy Group, have been informed that the Federal Trade Commission will announce "shortly" its clearance for the proposed combination.The two companies announce their plans to merge in October 1999, creating a new combinedenergy company under the DTE Energy name. The operating utilities of the new company will be DTE unit Detroit Edison Co. and MCN subsidiary Michigan Consolidated Gas Co.DTE said the proposed merger still awaits Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approval and approval by MCN shareholders of the recently amended merger agreement. The special meeting of MCN shareholders is expected to take place in this spring."While this transaction has taken longer than originally anticipated, this FTC action is a major step forward in this process and toward creating one of the region's premiere energy companies," said Anthony F. Earley Jr., DTE Energy chairman and chief executive. "We have spent more than a year developing and reviewing the synergies and processes that will establish this new entity as a solid player in the increasingly competitive energy market."
