LCG, August 27, 2025--Wärtsilä Energy announced yesterday an agreement with East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) to supply the engineering and equipment for a 217-MW power plant to be constructed in Liberty, Kentucky. The Wärtsilä equipment is scheduled for delivery in mid-2027, and the plant is expected to be commissioned in early 2028.

Con Edison Customers to See Rates Drop Sunday
LCG, March 30, 2001The New York State Public Service Commission said yesterday that electricity customers of Consolidate Edison Co. of New York will see a decrease in the distribution charge for power beginning Sunday.The rate cut for householders and small businesses will be about 9.8 percent on the delivery portion of the bill, and larger commercial customers will see a reduction of around 6.2 percent, the commission said. All customers received an earlier 6.8 percent reduction in their distribution bills in January.The combined reductions will remain in effect through March 31, 2005.
