LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Texas Utilities Prepare to Sell Some Generation
LCG, July 10, 2001TXU Corp. and other electric utilities in Texas are preparing to auction generation representing at least 15 percent of their capacity in preparation for the state opening its retail power market to competition next January 1.TXU said it will auction off 3,175 megawatts of generation by September 1, the date required by the Texas deregulation law. Potential bidders can register their interest through July 24, and the auctions will be held over the Internet during the last week in August.The purpose of the sales is to prevent any of the state's utilities from having too much market power and to provide companies interested in becoming alternative electricity suppliers with generating capacity. The capacity will be auctioned in 25 megawatt blocks for up to two years."The law says we as a large generator must auction off or sell to retail electric providers about 15percent of our capacity," said TXU spokesman Rand LaVonn. "So if somebody wants to start, they can get power to resell."American Electric Power Co., which acquired three Texas utilities with its takeover of Central and South West Corp., said it will sell off a total of 1,100 megawatts of capacity belonging to Central Power & Light Co., Southwest Electric Power Co. and West Texas Utilities Co.Under the deregulation law, the companies can't auction the capacity to a subsidiary and the buyers can't enter into contracts to resell the power back to the utilities.The utilities will continue to auction at least 15 percent of their capacity through the year 2007, or until alternative energy providers control at least 40 percent of their residential and small business retail power markets.Reliant Energy Inc., which is also subject to the auction requirement, has not yet revealed its intentions.
