LCG, January 7, 2026--Constellation today announced that it completed its acquisition of Calpine Corporation from Energy Capital Partners (ECP). Constellation is now the largest producer of electricity in the U.S., with electric generation facilities across the nation.

LCG, December 30, 2025--Duke Energy announced today its submission of an early site permit (ESP) application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The site is near the Belews Creek Steam Station in Stokes County, North Carolina. The submittal follows two years of work at the site, and the announcement states that the submittal is part of Duke Energy's strategic, on-going commitment to evaluate new nuclear generation options to reliably meet the growing electricity needs of its customers while reducing costs and risks.

He succeeds Alan Guggenheim, one of the IdaTech's three founders. Duss most recently was a vice president of Honeywell Europe.Leslie H. He joins FPL from AES Great Plains Inc., where he was a vice president.Glen W. Overton has joined Kansas City Power & Light Co. as director of governmental affairs and community relations. He has served since 1993 as the regional administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration's Heartland Region.Julio Reyes has been named Texas state president of American Electric Power Co. Inc., filling a vacancy created when Alphonso Jackson became Deputy Secretary of Housing andUrban Development in the Bush administration. Reyes previously was community service manager and coordinator in McAllen for the Rio Grande Valley at AEP's Central Power & Light Co. subsidiary.
