LCG, November 19, 2025--Oklo Inc. and Siemens Energy announced today that the parties have signed a binding contract for the design and delivery of the power conversion system for Oklo’s Aurora-INL (Idaho National Laboratory) nuclear small modular reactor (SMR). The agreement authorizes Siemens Energy to begin engineering and design work to expedite procurement of long-lead components and to initiate the manufacturing process for the power conversion system. Oklo’s expertise in advanced fission technology will be combined with Siemens Energy’s extensive industry experience with steam turbine and generator systems, with the ultimate goal of generating carbon-free, reliable electricity.

LCG, November 19, 2025--NERC yesterday released its 2025–2026 Winter Reliability Assessment (WRA), which concludes "much of North America is again at an elevated risk of having insufficient energy supplies to meet demand in extreme operating conditions." The WRA does state that resources are adequate for normal winter peak demand, but extended, wide-area cold snaps will be challenging.

Ashburn recently retired as vice president of H-P and general manager of H-P Services, a 28,000-employee unit that provides consulting, outsourcing,education and support to H-P customers.Charles Attal III has been elected to the newly created position of vice president anddeputy general counsel by Teco Energy Inc.Robert D. Kelly has been appointed president of Calpine Finance Co., responsible for the management of corporate and project financing activities for Calpine Corp.. He also serves as senior vice president of the parent company.Thomas Knudsen, who for the past sixteen months has been interim chief financial officer of Philadelphia Gas Works, has been selected to be interim chief executive and president following the resignation from that post of Kumar Kishinchand, who will return to the Philadelphia Water Department as commissioner.Jerry Langdon will join El Paso Corp. as president of its El Paso Gas Texas Pipeline L.P. subsidiary. Currently a member of the Intrastate Oil and Gas Compact Commission representing the State of Texas, he served two terms as a commissioner on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission from 1988 to 1993.Carolyn W. Marsh has been named senior vice president for corporate acquisitions by Calpine Corp. She recently led Calpine's transaction team in acquiring Calgary-based Encal Energy, a leading Canadian natural gas and petroleum exploration and development company.Sheila McDevitt, formerly vice president and general counsel of Teco Energy Inc., has been named senior vice president, general counsel and chief legal officer.Eric N. Pryor has been promoted to senior vice president for finance by Calpine Corp.. Skau has been named assistant vice president for human resources by Laclede Gas Co., effective August 1. He will replace Marvin E. McMillian who is retiring September 1.Karla Stoedter has been assigned by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as senior resident inspector at Exelon Generating Company's Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station nearCordova, Ill. She replaces Chris Miller who has accepted an operator licensing position in the agency's Lisle, Ill., regional office.
