LCG, March 18, 2026--The EIA released a new "In-depth Analysis" of the potential impact of faster-than-expected near-term growth in data center power demand on power generation and wholesale prices on March 12. The analysis models the lower 48 states through 2027 and compares results to its base case scenario. Italy Utility Violates Antitrust
LCG, June 24, 2002--The Consiglio di Stato, Italy's high court, ruled that Enel SpA must sell generating capacity.Italy's antitrust authority ruled last year that Enel SpA was impeding competition and should sell 20,500 MW of capacity, but the Consiglio di Stato decided that the energy company should only sell 15,000 MW capacity, 5,500 MW less than previously ordered. The court's decision will be made more clear once the court releases its written opinion, which is expected within a month.
