Construction Starts on Panamint Capital's 1.2 GW Solar Project in Texas

LCG, July 23, 2026--Panamint Capital announced today that construction has commenced at Big Rooter Power, a nearly 1.2 GWdc solar PV project located at the company's Twin Oaks power station in Robertson County, Texas. The $1.7 billion will be the largest solar project built at an existing coal mining site in North America.

Indonesia to Deregulate Electricity Transmission

LCG, October 1, 2002-The world's fourth most populous country will permit private companies to purchase electricity transmission assets.

Indonesia's Mines and Energy Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro announced today that private investment will be allowed so long as the state companies lack the financial strength to develop power projects.

According to current law, private investors can own power generators in Indonesia but cannot disrupt the state power monopoly on transmission and distribution.

It was not announced whether or not companies interested in investing in Indonesian transmission will have to work with or pay fees to the country's state transmission monopoly, Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
