LCG, April 30, 2026--OG&E, the operating subsidiary of OGE Energy Corp., announced today that it will power three new data centers that Google announced in Muskogee and Stillwater, Oklahoma last year. As part of the agreement, Google will also make power generation capacity available from two solar facilities in Stephens and Muskogee Counties that are currently under construction. The data centers and associated Electric Service Agreements are expected to provide economic growth for local communities and the state, contribute to grid stability, and benefit OG&E's current customers.

LCG, April 29, 2026--Graphic Packaging Holding Company today announced a virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with NextEra Energy Resources, LLC. With the VPPA agreement, NextEra Energy Resources plans to build the Selenite Springs Energy Center, a 250-MW solar energy facility in West Texas, and Graphic Packaging will be the sole buyer of the facility's renewable energy attribute certificates. Graphic Packaging, a global provider of sustainable consumer packaging, expects the agreement to cover approximately 43 percent of its 2025 electricity usage in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement will advance Graphic Packaging's commitment to source renewable electricity and reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Russia Examines Nuclear Power in Iran, IAEA to Inspect
LCG, May 27, 2003-Russia, which has promised to complete Iran's first nuclear power plant, has questions for Iran regarding its nuclear future.The Bush Administration has been pressuring Russian energy officials to cancel their plans to finish constructing a nuclear plant in Iran. In July 2003 Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham went to Russia to discuss, among other things, Russia's energy plans with Iran.Today Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Mamedov met with Iranian officials to discuss concerns over Iran's nuclear development. While Russia has voiced questions over the plans, Atomic Energy Minister Alexander Rumyantsev has asserted his nation will not buckle under pressure from the U.S. regarding the Bushehr plant, stating that Russia will fulfill its obligation. The meeting between Iranian and Russian officials may serve to help discussion between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President George Bush later this week.The Bushehr plant saw its first construction activity many years ago but war and other disruptions prevented the completion of the plant. Iran's long-term plans with Russia include building as many as 6 reactors at the Bushehr site and at one other site. Russia has an $800 million contract to build one reactor at the Bushehr site, signed in 1995, and over 1,000 Russian engineers and technicians are involved with the project.Russia had initially promised to reclaim spent fuel rods from the plant, but Iran recently decided to "complete the fuel cycle," according to a statement made by Iran's head of the Atomic Energy Organization Gholamreza Aghazadeh in February 2003. U.S. officials fear that nuclear technology will be turned to military applications, and the Bush Administration has accused Iran of harboring members of terrorist group al Queda.Iran has responded to Washington's allegations by warning the U.S. to leave it alone. Iran's government has also asserted that roughly 500 al Queda members and suspected members have been arrested and deported. According to a Reuters interview with Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid Reza Asefi, Iran's government hopes "that wisdom and logic dominates the Americans' debate, and they refrain from carrying out any interference in our affairs."The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has stated its knowledge of Iran's mines and has noted that one specific mine in question, near Ardakan, was inspected in 1992.In the past, U.S. agencies have stated Iran does not have sufficient uranium or plutonium ore to produce nuclear weapons.The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will discuss Iranian nuclear development next month.
