LCG, January 15, 2026--Origis Energy today announced that Meta and the company signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 240-MW (303-MWdc) Greyhound A Solar project in West Odessa, Texas. The Greyhound A Solar project is scheduled to achieve commercial operations by mid-2026.

LCG, January 13, 2026--Oglethorpe Power today announced it has selected Kiewit Corporation through its subsidiary, The Industrial Company (TIC), as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner for its new combined-cycle (CC), natural gas-fired power plant in Monroe County, Georgia. The new, 1,425-MW facility represents a capital investment of more than $3 billion. Commercial operation of the new generation capacity is planned to commence in 2029.

Commercial Operations Commence at 57-MW Wind Farm in Maine
LCG, January 23, 2009--Commercial operations commenced yesterday at the Stetson Wind Project in Washington County, Maine. The 57-MW wind farm is touted as the largest wind farm in New England and was developed by First Wind.
The project includes 38 General Electric 1.5-MW wind turbines. The blade diameters are 253 feet, and the towers are 262 tall. First Wind plans to add 25.5 MW of additional electric generating capacity at the site. Construction on the initial phase of the project began in January 2008.
