NRC Approves the Natrium® Reactor Construction Permit for TerraPower's Wyoming Nuclear Project

LCG, March 5, 2026--The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) announced yesterday that it has authorized the staff to issue TerraPower’s subsidiary, US SFR Owner, a construction permit for the company’s Kemmerer Power Station Unit 1 commercial nuclear power plant in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

Google and AES Sign Agreements for Co-Located Generation and Data Center in Texas

LCG, February 24, 2026--The AES Corporation (AES) and Google today announced agreements for clean power generation that will be co-located with a new Google data center in Wilbarger County, Texas. The agreements include a 20-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for co-located power generation. These coordinated energy projects and powered land will enable Google to rapidly expand its operations to meet demand for core services, while AES will expand its power generation portfolio.

Nordex Awarded Contracts for a Total of 820 MW in the U.S.

LCG, January 11, 2018--The Nordex Group announced Tuesday that it was awarded three major contracts for 263 of its wind turbines that together will provide an installed electric generating capacity of 820 MW. The delivery of the turbines is scheduled to commence in the summer of 2018.

One of the two customers has ordered a total of 196 AW125/3150 turbines for two US projects with a capacity of 319 MW and 300 MW respectively. The order from the second customer is for 67 AW125/3000 turbines to be installed at a wind farm in Texas.
