He is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Cabot Corp., a leading specialty chemical manufacturer.James M. Funk has been appointed a senior vice president of Equitable Resources Inc.. He is also president of subsidiary Equitable Production, the largest natural gas producer in the Appalachian basin with facilities in Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and Virginia.Robert G. McCoy has joined TXU Corp. as president of its TXU Energy Services unit. He most recently was president of the retail markets unit of GTE, where he was responsible for more than $10 billion in revenue and for serving over 15 million customers nationwide.George L. Miles Jr. has been elected a director of Equitable Resources Inc. and will serve on the boards audit committee until the next annual meeting of shareholders. He is president and chief executive of regional broadcaster-publisher WQED Pittsburgh.Michael R.
