LCG, August 5, 2026-- Holtec International, Entergy Services, LLC, and Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (HDEC) yesterday announced their strategic collaboration to evaluate opportunities to advance the potential deployment of Holtec’s SMR-300 advanced small modular reactor (SMR) and supply carbon-free, reliable, base-load power to meet the increasing electricity demands of large-load industrial facilities, advanced manufacturing, and AI-driven data centers throughout the U.S. Gulf South.

AEP to Buy Houston Pipe Line Co. from Enron
LCG, Jan. 12, 2001American Electric Power Co. said yesterday it had signed an agreement for its AEP Energy Services Gas Holding Co. subsidiary to acquire Houston Pipe Line Co. from Enron Corp. through a stock purchase. Financial terms were not disclosed.Houston Pipe Line owns or leases, and operates, one of the most extensive and flexible natural gas gathering, transportation and storage operations in Texas. Its intrastate system includes more than 4,400 miles of pipe with capacity of approximately 2.4 billion cubic feet per day and the operation of one of the largest storage facilities in North America with a capacity of approximately 118 billion cubic feet and significant injection and withdrawal capacity.Paul Addis, an AEP executive vice president, said the deal "will enhance AEP's natural gas business with its multiple connections into the production areas of Texas, its numerous interconnects with intrastate and interstate pipelines, and its position in and around Houston as a premier provider of natural gas."AEP said the transaction should close before summer, The deal requires certain regulatory approvals and is subject to an anti-trust waiting period.
