LCG, January 21, 2026--Sage Geosystems, the company pioneering Pressure Geothermal, today announced that it closed over $97 million in Series B funding to advance its geothermal power generation and energy storage solutions, including its first commercial next-generation geothermal power generation facility. Ormat Technologies, a vertically integrated company engaged in geothermal and recovered energy generation ("REG"), and Carbon Direct Capital, a growth equity investment firm, co-led Sage’s Series B round, representing the full backing of Sage and Pressure Geothermal technology from leaders in geothermal energy and growth capital.

LCG, January 15, 2026--Origis Energy today announced that Meta and the company signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 240-MW (303-MWdc) Greyhound A Solar project in West Odessa, Texas. The Greyhound A Solar project is scheduled to achieve commercial operations by mid-2026.

California Municipals Urge Customers to Save Electricity
LCG, Feb. 8, 2001The Northern California Power Agency, which provides electricity to member municipal utilities in Northern California, said its members have asked their customers to step up electricity conservation efforts, even if they are not at risk of the rolling blackouts that threaten the rest of the state.Every megawatt saved by the municipals is a megawatt that can be sold to the California Independent System Operator to keep lights on elsewhere.The NCPA says the next round of blackouts could be the toughest yet. So far, rolling blackouts have only occurred in Northern California, and have affected only about 5 percent of the population. If power suppliers quit furnishing electricity to the state's investor-owned utilities or to Cal-ISO, things could get a lot worse, the agency said."As locally owned municipal power agencies, we are not part of the larger investor-ownedelectricity system that has been experiencing reliability and price difficulties," explained JohnFistolera, a spokesperson for the NCPA. "But just because we aren't experiencing the problemsdoesn't mean we can't be part of the solution."
