LCG, May 7, 2026--PJM issued today its Summer Outlook 2026, which forecasts sufficient generation for typical peak demand this summer. PJM states that it is prepared to call on contracted demand response resources to reduce electricity use during times of high system stress.

LCG, May 6, 2026--Oklo Inc. ("Oklo"), an advanced nuclear technology company, announced today that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has approved the Principal Design Criteria (PDC) topical report for the Aurora-INL (Idaho National Laboratory) nuclear small modular reactor (SMR), which is currently under construction in Idaho. The PDC topical report establishes a regulatory framework that defines the fundamental safety, reliability, and performance requirements to guide future reactor licensing and design activities, and the approved report should simplify future applications and reduce the need to re-review established material.

Susquehanna Nuke Produces Record Power in 2001
LCG, Jan. 3, 2002--The Susquehanna nuclear power plant owned by PPL Corp. produced more electricity in 2001 than it has in any year since the plant began operation in 1983, the company said this morning.According to PPL, the plant's 1,050 megawatt Unit 1 and 1,168 megawatt Unit 2 combined to produce more than 17.8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2001, setting a new record for the second straight year."This record is a tribute to the outstanding efforts of dedicated PPL employees. Theircommitment ensures that the Susquehanna plant provides safe, reliable electric service tonortheastern and central Pennsylvania," said Herbert D. Woodeshick, PPL special assistant to thepresident.He also noted "We achieved this generation record through improvements that support our focus on plant safety. The natural result is reliable equipment and excellent operating procedures."Woodeshick noted that 17.8 billion kilowatt-hours is enough electricity to provide for the annual needs of 1,780,000 households in the eastern U.S., where PPL Susquehanna's electricity is marketed.
